Caps and Gowns

Many faculty have their own caps and gowns. If you requested a cap and gown when you RSVP’d for Convocation, the College will rent a set for you. You may pick up your rental cap and gown after 9:30 a.m. on the morning of Convocation, Saturday, September 16, in Hopkins 201.
Please address questions about caps and gowns to Gail Burda in the Dean of Faculty Office.

Faculty: Meet on the road alongside the ’62 Center for Theatre and Dance
Emeritus Faculty: Meet in the driveway next to Sloan House
Wear your cap and gown!
Faculty Marshals Christopher Bolton and Lee Park will get you lined up in the proper order. The procession steps off at exactly 10:40. The Faculty Marshals will ask the Emeritus Faculty to join the procession in front of the active Faculty at Sloan House.
The ceremony in Chapin Hall starts at 11:00 and lasts about an hour.
After the ceremony, the marshals will lead the Faculty to Chapin Lawn. Those with rental caps and gowns should return them immediately to Hopkins 201. Everybody is invited to the all-campus picnic on Chapin Lawn.
